Strictly Outdoors is a Bay of Plenty based company established in 2015. Our goal has always been to provide top quality products at affordable prices.

We started as hunters who wanted confidence that our gear was up to the job without paying several middlemen along the way. So we developed our own range of traps, gun accessories and hunting equipment and sold it directly, making sure customers pay for the product, not unnecessary layers in between.

We prioritise affordable quality over quantity. Our range is deliberately selected, and we work with factories that also supply well known brands throughout New Zealand.

Most importantly, we use and test the products ourselves. That means we can give practical advice about what they do, how to use them and whether they are right for the job. Customer feedback is a big part of how we continue to improve and develop the range.

The wider outdoors

The same idea grew into Xplora

The best business ideas are often found in the things that drive us. That is how Blake O’Loughlin created Xplora: a camping and outdoors brand focused on comfort, convenience and high quality equipment.

Blake has spent years hunting, tramping, camping, fishing and exploring off road. Xplora grew from a need for equipment that could handle the wild and unpredictable New Zealand elements while making it easier for more people to get outside.

The range brings a mobile camp together around the vehicle, from roof top tents and awnings to lighting, power, refrigeration and recovery equipment. The goal is simple: make the outdoors more accessible without giving up the comfort and practicality that make a trip better.

Like everything under Strictly Outdoors, Xplora products are built around smart design, useful features and testing by real outdoor and 4WD enthusiasts.
